·   Developed automated functional tests in Tcl for Online/Offline charging, and Policy administration by PCRF.

Ø       IMS Remote Technical Support  (5/2007 – 7/2014):

·   Provided remote and on-site support to major telecom service providers throughout the North America region for IP Multimedia System (IMS) and LTE systems.

·   As a recognized subject matter expert, reproduced and verified fixes for complex field issues in live IMS networks.

·   Resolved issues in live sites and customer labs - issues dealing with software upgrades, field installation, call processing, and networking. 

·   Provided outage resolution, root cause analysis, problem reproduction and fix verification.

·   Provided scripts to analyze large sets of log files and data to diagnose problems and pinpoint the issues.

Ø       Project Leader/Feature Engineer/Software Developer (3/2001 – 4/2007):

·   IMS & UMTS-MSC Fault Recovery & Field Debugging

·   Designed and developed IMS Border Control Function (IBCF) using a SIP B2BUA.

·   Designed and developed a Client/Server application to provide QOS support in IMS.  Developed Go (3GPP), and COPS-PR (IETF) interfaces from scratch for Policy Deployment Function in the IMS architecture.  With field installation, proved that the developed stack is fully standards compliant.

·   Enhanced Open Source Diameter stack to develop a Client/Server application that provides Cx interface for IMS application on Lucent Control Platform (LCP).  In the process, resolved several thread synchronization issues in the open source stack, and stabilized it to run on a multiprocessor environment.  Defined the requirements for developing an in-house Diameter stack.

·   As a recognized expert in the areas of Cx interface, Diameter stack, developed a Home Subscriber Services (HSS) data scheme that allowed over 40 IMS nodes to connect to a single HSS and share subscriber data without affecting each other. 

·   As one of the lead members of the IBCF and BGW development team, was responsible for development and integration of these components in IMS 6.0.

·   Provided Write Protect and Cache Flush functionalities on the PowerPC (PPC) based Excel platform.  Provided an innovative method to debug memory corruptions in the pSOS system that helped find the source of memory corruptions in a matter of minutes, even those that had remained unsolved for several weeks. Developed PPC exception handlers and exception debugging methods. A proven expert in the area of processor exception analysis.  Also, developed Alarm API and infrastructure for LCP. 

 

Ø       Technical Manager - 7R/E Remote Switching Modules, HW Provisioning, & Test Automation (5/2000 – 3/2001):

Coached and supported a 23 member technical staff that was responsible for various projects including 7R/E™ software development, HW provisioning and evolution procedures, and Test Automation.  Estimated, planned, committed, and managed various projects in the organization.  Supported the deployment of new products in the field, and quickly resolved the field issues.  Recruited and developed the team, and did their performance evaluation and salary administration.  Provided training for the team to support the project needs.  This effort led to successful delivery of the HW Provisioning procedures for the Packet Switch (PS) solutions well ahead (more than 3 months) of the Feature Test complete deadline.

 

Ø       GMS Project Leader (1/1997 – 5/2000):

Was responsible for the 272 Technical Head Count Years size hardware/software feature to upgrade the Communication Module (CM) in 5ESS™ to use PowerPC™ technology, and shrink the size of a duplex CM from 9 bays to just 1 bay.  Prepared the Project Plan that involved the development of new hardware, new PowerPC™ tools, external vendors, and software from 15 subsystems; the plan included the schedules, system lab needs, and staffing profiles.  Lead the GMS PowerPC™ Tools Architecture team, which included outside vendors. 

 

Ø                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Feature Engineer - Single Shelf Module Controller Unit (MCTU3) (3/1995 - 12/1996):

Successfully led the project through the development, integration, factory system test, and First Office Application phase.  Coordinated the work of hardware development, software development and the factory teams to identify and resolve issues keeping the project on schedule.

 

Ø      Software Developer (7/1988 – 3/1995):

Translated customer needs into Requirements, Architecture, and Design for such features as 5ESS-2000™, Extended Control and Data Unit (XCDU) on the SM-2000s, and SM-2000 Release-2 (CORE60).  Restructured Interrupt Inhibit Administration (IIA) functionality in the 5ESS™ Switching Modules (SM). Applied innovative testing methods to reduce integration interval while delivering code with highest quality. Provided on-site support for the First Office Application (FOA) of 5ESS-2000.

Ø       Developed PC based insurance proposal system working with the insurance underwriters.  Was also responsible for the installation and field testing of the developed software package.
